s launching Engineering Research D
ays\, a new virtual event that will bring together our research commun
ity and create opportunities for collaboration. U of T Engineering continu
es to be Canada’s top-ranked engineering school and consistently ranks in
the global top 20. Our faculty are international leaders in their fields\,
innovative educators and dedicated mentors. U of T Engineering’s research
strengths draw students and faculty from all over the world.

This
year’s theme of ‘Empowering Innovation’ highlights U of
T Engineering’s research accomplishments and spotlight opportunities for c
ollaboration across faculty\, external partners\, industry representatives
and the broader U of T community. Both the program and platform\, Spatial
Chat\, are designed to foster and encourage interaction in an engaging an
d collaborative environment.

The Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office
joins the University of Toronto in condemning anti-Asian racism\, misogyn
y\, and all forms of racial violence. There is no denying the pain\, sadne
ss\, and anger that many are feeling given recent events of racial and gen
der-based violence in Atlanta\, Georgia. As we navigate and action-plan du
ring these difficult times\, the Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office i
nvites the community to collectively gather to confront\, resist and denou
nce racism\, anti-Asian racism\, and White supremacy. Join us as we ignite
love\, compassion\, support and restoration while building community duri
ng these challenging times.

This space will center a presentation
and Q &A with May Lui\, Educator and Consultant\, on the topic\, “Confront
ing Anti-Asian Racism: What you Need to Know”. This conversation will expl
ore the complexities of anti-Asian racism\, its impact and the principles
that must be centered as we move forward to meaningful change.
