After graduating from Engineering Science, Kelvin Lui joined Accenture (a global management and technical consulting firm) as part of the Technology Strategy practice. His group focuses on aligning their clients’ business and technology strategies to better position their clients for the digital world. Kelvin says that he has been fortunate to enjoy a breadth of projects, from designing new operating models to improve the efficiency of a client’s technology operations, to recommending cloud technology investments to achieve a client’s business objectives. For his upcoming project, Kelvin will be joining Accenture Development Partnership (a group focused on collaborating with international development organizations) to work with an UN Agency to assess connectivity needs for refugees and to develop a strategy to enable such services.
Outside of work, Kelvin is currently on the Board of Advisors (and previous co-chair) of TEDxYouth@Toronto, an annual TEDx conference which brings together a line-up of inspiring speakers, performers, and local high school students in the spirit of “ideas worth spreading”.
Kelvin shares his sentiments on EngSci and the E4TW Award:
“The EngSci motto – Engineers for the World (E4TW) – is something I continue to reference after I graduated. It reminds me to apply the skills, perseverance, and humility I have learned from EngSci to help shape the community around us.”
