Society produces billions of gigabytes of data a day, from retail product barcodes to social media posts and data from GPS devices. Machine Intelligence is rapidly changing the way we do business and conduct our lives.

To celebrate the launch of its new major in Machine Intelligence, the Division of Engineering Science invites alumni and friends back to campus for a one-day EngSci-style bootcamp. Come learn about how this new technology is advancing engineering and society, and opportunities to propel you or your business.

Featuring application and tutorial-based speakers, panel discussions and networking opportunities, EngSci’s Return & Learn: Alumni Machine Intelligence Bootcamp will provide a unique opportunity to gain new technical skills, learn about the latest applications of machine intelligence and network with industry leaders.

In addition to attending seminars and tutorials, you will have a chance to help select the winning student teams of the CIBC Machine Intelligence Hackathon, and meet machine intelligence researchers and student clubs from across the engineering faculty.

Confirmed speakers include:

Matt Zeiler (EngSci 0T9), Founder & CEO, Clarifai  — Read about Matt Zeiler in Forbes Magazine
Gary Saarenvirta (EngSci 8T8, UTIAS MASc 0T2), Founder & CEO of Daisy Intelligence
Lorne Rothman, PhD, PStat, Principal, Data Sciences, SAS Canada
