Attention 3rd year EngSci students! This is an important year for your professional development as you will apply for PEY positions or higher level summer jobs.
Let us help you get ready! We’ve set up two events to help you get interview tips from recruitment professionals and a chance to do practice interviews.
Registration has now closed. Contact Christina Heidorn at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Workshop: Ace that Interview
Monday, Sept. 19 | 6PM – 8PM | SF1101
Presented by Larry Goldberg, Alyssa Tilden
and Supratik Das of the Bagg Group
We’ve arranged for professional recruiters to teach you the finer points of how to stand above the crowd.
- Good narrative – How do you tell your story in a concise and compelling way?
- Standing out – How will you set yourself apart from other qualified candidates?
- Depth of prep – How much research should you do before the interview?
Feel free to bring a copy of your resume, if you’d like them to have a look.
Mock Skype interviews with EngSci alumni
Attending a workshop to learn tips is great, but there’s only one thing that will make you be awesome in interviews: practice, practice, practice!
We’ve recruited a group of EngSci grads who want to help you hone your skills by doing mock interviews with you over Skype. They will provide one-on-one feedback to help you find out where you’re strong, and where you can improve.
Interviews will happen during the weeks of Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. You’ll receive detailed instructions by email once you sign up. Students and alumni will be matched up through EngSci CONNECT. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Here’s a chance to practise your skills in a safe, supportive environment–and grow your own professional network by getting to know some alumni!
