Rachel will be returning to the University of Toronto in September 2016 to start her studies toward a Master of Health Science degree in Clinical Engineering at IBBME. Her Master’s thesis will be a continuation of her undergraduate thesis with Dr. Jan Andrysek, working on a testing system for a mechanical knee prosthesis.

Through the summer she was very fortunate to take two trips: the first was a North American road trip to Vancouver, and the second was backpacking through Iceland and Scandinavia. She feels lucky to be able to go on these trips and traveling is something she intends to pursue in the future.

“Our accomplishments are owed to both ourselves and those around us. Completing Engineering Science has taught me that my work ethic is just as important as my support system. My peers and professors pushed me to work harder, and my friends and family encouraged me throughout the whole process.”
