ESROP – Exceptional Opportunities (ExOp) – Deadline: Wednesday, March 11, 2020, 4:00pm EST

ESROP – ExOp is a student-driven program, with each applicant being required to seek out and secure their own supervisor at institutions within Canada and abroad. For placements with University of Toronto faculty, applications must be submitted to ESROP – U of T.

For 2020 there are a limited number of fellowships available for students wishing to undertake a full-time summer (May-August) research project. The value of an ESROP – ExOp fellowship is up to $3000.

Applications are open to all Engineering Science students who are completing their First or Second year of study. Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or visa students may apply.  Students are required to ensure that they have the necessary permissions and documentation for participation.

Applicants are limited to one (1) application. The Division will not decide between multiple projects/laboratories as part of the application process.

Successful applicants and their supervisors will be notified of the results of the competition by late-March. At the end of the summer, participants will be required to provide a written report to the Division of Engineering science summarizing their research experience in the program.
