Michelle Gu’s Summer 2012 Research in Singapore

“During my research internship at the National University of Singapore (NUS) I was given the opportunity to work in Dr. Adrian Koh’s team on research related to the developing field of dielectric elastomer. Surrounded by cutting-edge technology, the project has given me with the opportunity to explore and untangle exciting challenges. I participated in both the experimental practice and the prototyping processes which allowed me to put my own hypothesizes and vision into practice. My peers have inspired me with their knowledge and expertise. The experience enriched my scientific practice, my life journey, and even more, it has given me valuable first-hand perspective with scientific research. This summer sxchange has inspired academic enthusiasm and I would like to express my gratitude to the Division of Engineering Science, for guiding me onto this truly unforgettable journey.”
