Do you or your business have a problem you'd like help with? EngSci is looking for clients!

Some of our fourth-year capstone design courses work with clients to provide a focused opportunity to student teams.

If you feel you have an opportunity that might fit with a course related to one of EngSci's majors, please contact our External Relations Officer, Christina Heidorn, at engsci@utoronto.ca.

CURRENTLY SEEKING CLIENTS

ESC472 - Electrical & Computer Engineering Capstone Design

This one-term 4th year capstone course in EngSci's ECE major is offered in the Winter Term (January to April).

Students work with clients who provide a focused opportunity relevant to their business.

Past projects have involved a diverse range of topics and businesses, including:

  • A system to help identify which plastic was used in a 3D print for waste 3D print objects so they could be appropriately recycled
  • Signal processing pipeline for a biomarker extraction from multi-modal medical data
  • Signal process to aid in automated acoustic system tuning
  • Sensor node for forest fire monitoring
  • Financial data extraction transformation and loading from variety of sources
  • Improving latency in balloon-borne imaging telescope stabilization system
